This city is really like no other.  Fourteen islands with 1/3 green space, 1/3 buildings, and 1/3 water.  What other big city has a lake in the middle of it?  Twenty percent of Swedes live in Stockholm.  There are 600 statues.  It is lovely--with all that water you get great views of the palace, churches... Reykjavik was great...only a 4-hour time difference. Went to soak in the Blue Lagoon today. Lunch at the fancy restaurant was wonderful. Bought some angora socks at the bus station. The trip over was fine. No challenges except for a slight shoe problem.  Got new shoes at the Pgh airport and I was "good to go".  Did sites in town and had three types of pickled herring for lunch.
