Sitka: A Nice Place To Send The Day

After a night sail we arrived in Sitka. We had no trips or tours scheduled so we were going to just “hang out”.

After a shuttle ride from our port dock thru the “suburbs” (lol) we got to town. Pretty much only a coupe streets.

We moseyed around doing some shopping and site seeing. We were limited with purchases as we are “tried and true” light packers with only carry-ons for the trip.

The totem pole gives homage to the indigenous Indians. The building behind was a hotel now converted to an old age home.

Jen got a bear hug (we never saw any alive).

We did not eat lunch in Sitka but I tried some halibut chowder and Jen made “short work” of some fried bread while I was in the library.

It’s was back to the ship for dinner, desert and towel animals from our Porter.

Good Night and on to Ketchikan
