Mid week we dropped 4 fellow sailors off and picked up two very nice young men from Germany. One brought his drone on this trip and he provided us with incredible sky view pictures.

We had great weather and took advantage of the beaches we visited and the water toys on board.

I never tired of my morning coffee spot or looking out of a port hole.

The “kids” (Jen, Jake, Jack and Mady) that I left behind in Bangkok met their tour group and traveled a week to northern Thailand. I frequently received e messages from them sharing pictures and reports of their adventures. They went to temples, ancient ruins and an elephant sanctuary. They were able to have a mud bath with the pachyderms before washing them off in the river. They told me that this was the highlight of their trip.

After an overnight train, flight, taxi and ferry ride J,J,J+Mady joined me at the Twin Lotus Resort on the island of Krabi. I had to take multiple ferries to get there but ended up having some challenges along the way. I didn’t do research on how to get to Krabi from Phuket and could have shortened the trip by several hours and Baht if I had taken the most direct route. Just when I begin to think I have “this travel thing” under my belt, I’m reminded of my limitations.
The resort is beautiful and we have five days to rest and reflect on our adventures in Thailand. I think my favourite spot is the infinity pool that is located at the edge of the Andaman Sea.

We are at the Twin Lotus Resort for five nights. It is “off season” so there are not a lot of other guests or much going on in town. J, J, J + M took a day trip to go snorkeling and swimming. They had a good time and made a stop to play with some monkeys.

Riding Tuk Tuks, eating fried rice and 2 hour massages are some of my favorite things to do in Thailand.
For one of my last meals I went for a whole Grouper in garlic sauce. Delicious! We finished up with some fried bananas to dip in honey.

This has been a wonderful and amazing trip. We go back to Bangkok tomorrow and fly home on Saturday.
