I have hardly “scratched the surface” on this city. There is a lot to learn, see and explore. I have become pretty proficient getting around with my transit map and my “cheat sheet” from Patrick. We went out for pizza at a little trattoria that landed here from Italy- yummy. Melanie is also a journalist and her magazine deadline kept her busy but she met us for dinner:
While waiting for our table we walked to the area where David Bowie lived for many years. This is the signage on his condo building:
We also visited the neighborhood bar where he would hang out (check out the picture behind us):
I stayed by the airport and flew to Copenhagen— a 50-minute flight. It is a lot cooler in this part of the world. I bought a second pair of gloves to “layer up”. I took the train from the airport to the center city. This station is one of the prettier ones I’ve seen:
After navigating the buses and following the directions to my place I set out to explore the city center. I didn’t get too far after having lunch. I found The Tivoli Gardens:
This is an amazing amusement park smack in the middle of this city. It is just “darling” with tons of pumpkins, Halloween decorations everywhere and a lot of Danes having fun— I joined in. There are little shops, lots of restaurants and carnival foods and rides for the kids:

Check out the tower in the background—-that is City Hall outside the park:
I couldn’t help myself—-I stumbled into Zombieland and turned into one:
Stay tuned for more on Copenhagen tomorrow.
